I think I agree with your point that the only reason justice was administered was the massive public outcry, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a bullshit comparison, imo.
It is not a strong comparison but it has some merit from the perspective that US regime does sanction this behavior from the police but we pretend like they don’t and these are just one off events… That’s happen regularly
