    Probably not. In all likelihood, if the trajectory of life follows a normal distribution, we’re probably about halfway there. Meaning in a billion years most–if not all–life will be gone when the sun gives out

      That’s basically what the article says. Except the sun won’t give out in a billion years, at 5 billion it’s about halfway through it life. But it will heat up enough in a billion to make life on earth impossible.
