Roughly but y’know I approximated.
Roughly but y’know I approximated.
That is not the case. They added an implied idea and attacked that part. It’s called a straw man in fallacy terminology, and this person is littered with them. They already misquoted once and attacked that as well.
If you need to read it again and again until you get it, eventually it will click. At some point I stopped replying to any of these because unfortunately, I am communicating in a precise way, and they are not capable or not willing to patiently read and understand what I’ve said. Maybe it’s not as well educated or studied, maybe English isn’t their primary language… I don’t know. But I realized that there’s no point because it’s like arguing with children; there are some things they just don’t and won’t comprehend - at least not accurately or precisely. And I know, yeah the reflexive instinct is to just start calling me arrogant etc. and that’s fine, I don’t really care. Sometimes someone is just not capable of understanding what someone else is saying, and they get angry and defensive, and call the other person whatever. But there really is no point in furthering the discussion. I was in their place many years ago, so I am aware of the point of view. Some day, maybe they’ll be wiser, maybe not.
Have a good day. P.S. This really is just a courteous response because maybe you didn’t really realize any of this. But I’m not inviting further conversation because I was also recently reminded about the unfortunate demographics. Mostly very young, idealistic kids, often not very well educated, and nearly always so far to the extreme of liberal it literally turns my stomach. I’m a democrat and most of us hate what the new liberal has done to our particular image. It takes age and wisdom sometimes to realize you have a lot to learn. Everyone today from teen and upward thinks they’re an authoritative scholar when in fact, they’re just a smartass kid with a small amount of knowledge. The good thing is most of them if they’re too lazy to be bothered to learn before they speak, they’re usually too lazy to vote, too. That’s quite a relief.
History is important, having a first-hand wealth of experience is very beneficial, and will always be more useful than an ideology and being too impressionable for one’s own good. Again, have a wonderful day.
I can’t even begin to understand why any of them do anything anymore. They’re all crooks anyway.
Wow. You’ll just say anything to avoid learning that you’ve been wrong. Good luck with that.
I tell you, I’m middle-aged, very intelligent, and left of center. I honestly think our species no longer stands a chance. How could we possibly stop the dystopia we’re already enthusiastically ushering in with a welcome mat? Seriously.
Although… I suppose maybe a dystopia is preferable to extinction. Slightly.
Well, let’s wait and see when it happens. There’s a first time for everything.
Thankfully, I went 99% Micro$haft free quite some time ago. I have two machines with windows literally only to support some essential services and tools that only exist for Windows and and are not able to be virtualized. Other than that, I’m all Linux. I stopped caring how much more fuel they’ve added to their own dumpster fire a long time ago because everything they do now is virus, spyware, data harvesting and government spying. I miss the days when they sometimes put out something outstanding, like OneNote.
If you’re just learning that politicians don’t always tell the truth, you should avoid doling out political advice for a while.
Jesus nobody said I was just learning this. Where did I say that? Nowhere.
At this point I’m certain you’re not reading a goddamn thing that I write, just waiting to write more. You’re dishonest in your approach to the conversation and therefore a total waste of my time. Have a good day, troll.
You’ve been duped and you don’t know it.
When I stated that politics are not all about truth, I was referring to why you’ve been told lies by politicians. Maybe you should read it again to understand it. And now that you’ve been intellectually dishonest I’ll say have a good day. You’re very much a victim of propaganda.
The word you’re looking for is aware.
And there’s nothing funny about any of this. You’re very innocent like a child should be.

”A people” ≠ ”people”
As for the rest, you will believe what you want anyway.
Believe what you want to. There’s nothing that would change your view anyway.
Also pssst here’s a secret: politics aren’t all about truth SSHHHHHH don’t tell anyone!!!
No it’s not because the “Palestinians” are not a people. It’s an invented term to give them, collectively, an identity. They’re all just people whose families remained after Israel was formed.
Are you aware of the geography of the region? Arab Muslims have the entire Middle East pretty much; yet they can’t rest until they also get to have 100% of this little country the size of Vermont? The Jewish people were nearly wiped out in the Holocaust - that was an attempted genocide and they slaughtered 6 million. And so Israel was made so the Jewish people could always have a safe haven. And yet after being under constant attack from every which way ever since, when they decide to take serious action to put an end to decades of terrorists murdering them…. it’s genocide?
Please stop drinking the ultra liberal kool aide because you’re being lied to. And this is coming from a Democrat myself. Everyone seems to just forget every act of mass slaughter the Arabs commit on Israel, and they weep for these poor people oh boohoo. I’m well aware there are civilian casualties and that’s awful - even though these are the same civilians who danced in the streets and celebrated when the World Trade Center was destroyed in a terrorist attack murder on 9/11.
Jeez it sometimes just mystifies me how so many people can be so abjectly idiotic because they are just plain cowards or have been thoroughly brainwashed.
Your view is the wrong side my friend. You really don’t know what you’re talking about. Most likely not your fault though.
I read more than once, though have never fact checked, that no republican ever got elected had the popular vote, only through the electoral college’s undemocratic system did they ever get elected. Anyone know if this is accurate?
You really don’t understand the term genocide, then. Or you’re just ignoring its real definition and using it incorrectly to legitimize a warped point of view that has no merit otherwise. But, then that’s all that’s been done recently. Fuck history; let’s all learn from fiction.
Also because much of our population are apathetic idiots. There’s also that.
I’m having a hard time understanding the distinction of the voting method how its outcome differs from popular. I kinda feel like I get that there is a difference, but it’s not clicking. I’m probably just too tired.
I can’t see the red states ever getting on board with this, since the only way they’ve ever won is via the college and not the popular. They would be resigning their historical preference (based on history of the vote). Am I wrong? This seems to me to be how it stands.
Whatever you say, bud. Awesome.
