Ah the BS JerryRigEverything “towing” test. Of course people on here believe that was a problem for the cybertruck.
Ah the BS JerryRigEverything “towing” test. Of course people on here believe that was a problem for the cybertruck.
Any info on this? All I can find is that they would publish info on how many requests etc they go, not that they would fight them rather than comply.
Since they were never taken offline or banned in countries I’m assuming they didn’t fight very hard?
I’ve had no problem doing that on Android. Cut and paste work just fine.
Bluesky blocked his account in turkey btw, just like X did. Bluesky have made no mention of challenging the legal request in court like X have though.
Iirc the Brazil situation was the first time anything like this had happened since Musk bought Twitter. They definitely didn’t handle it correctly, but they’ve clearly learned since then. Now they comply with legal requests and challenge them through the courts. Would you prefer they just folded every time and didn’t challenge, like all the others? Like Bluesky?
Good work on calling me a nazi though! I did nazi that coming!!
I don’t care when people who call everyone Nazis for daring to think illegal immigrants should be deported, for example, call me a Nazi. No skin off my back. In fact it’s a good thing, as it just turns more and more people away from the far left. This behaviour is the main reason why the democrats were blown off the map in the presidential election. Normal people have just had enough of the far lefts never ending name calling and bullshit. The more you do it the worse you look, so keep going :)
🤣 I like how you guys think people care when you call them fascists, Nazis, etc.
The “recalls” have all apart from 1, iirc (the accelerator pedal cover), been delivered via OTA software updates. Calling them “recalls” in the first place is a bit silly since they’re not actually recalled.
Many panels in many cars are “glued” on btw. Calling it “glue” is disingenuous too, attempting to make out like it’s not a specific panel bonding adhesive that is used all over the car industry.
I’m assuming you’re talking about the JerryRigEverything video with your “risk testing it apart” comment, right? That was, for lack of a more correct term, complete horseshit. The “test” was “rigged” in a way that it made it seem like it failed when in fact it passed with flying colours, lasting like 10x the quoted force. There’s no real world situation where that failure would happen, because the test exerts pressure in a way that can’t happen in any regular situation a truck can be in.
One thing I don’t think anyone can claim is that the cyber truck has worse performance than its competitors. It’s basically a supercar in terms of performance lol.
I agree the car market is in a great place in terms of build quality and features even on low spec cars, but the Cybertruck still isn’t “one of the worst products in recent memory”, not even close.
Oh yay, more disingenuous clickbait. The full quote was this:
Musk defended his decision, arguing that “the choice is have Twitter throttled in its entirety or limit access to some tweets.”
So the choice was either do what they ordered or take the whole site down for the whole country…… and you think he made the wrong choice?
I swear no one on Lemmy can read past a headline, and they instantly believe it if it suits their agenda.
What specifically in there is about musk being pro censorship?
3 motors use more power than 2, so less range is expected. A car with 2 engines would use more petrol than a car with only 1.
Why? More power……
What are you basing that extreme statement on? It seems to be far from a bad product, let alone “one of the worst products in recent history”.
Preorder interest probably made it not worth it financially.
Only a fool buys something on the promise of future upgrades and potential. Buy stuff on what it is now.
This is a bad look for Tesla for sure, but no one should be going “I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew this would get cancelled”.
You specifically made out that Musk would want this censorship, which flies against every action we have seen from him.
So you think that instead of complying while fighting the legal order and being able to tell users that what is happening, you think that they should pull the entire site from the country?
They aren’t “choosing to bow to threats by a dictator” - they are following the law, and fighting the legal order through the courts.
Come on mate lol. They’re doing the absolute most user and free speech friendly thing they can possibly do given the situation.
Question - what would you have done in this situation if you owned and ran X?
Autopilot != full self driving, firstly
Secondly, well done you found that the software in testing wasn’t perfect. Gold Star for you!
How did they bend the knee to musk is what I’m asking.
They took the stabbing videos down in Australia. They fought against removing them from the rest of the world saying that the Australian “safety commissioner” doesn’t have the jurisdiction to do that.
