Now you’ve got me picturing headphones hooked up to microphones outside of your car. I wonder if that would work well or not.

I have friends who refuse to play with headsets and then wonder why I’m so good at FPS compared to them. I’ve told them multiple times that it is solely the fact that I can locate enemies due to the headphones, yet they refuse to believe me, for some reason.

I think with the beginning stages of this kind of technology would work better with a removable option, for this reason. We are already getting able to make better human appendages, with super strength and dexterity, etc., but the touch is something that will probably be hard to implement for awhile.

It’s really weird to make a blanket statement like that because different people have very different salaries and expenses. Especially in reference to the US where these things heavily depend on the state a person resides in.

Now that I’m older, I realize that pulling the lever is the right thing to do as much as it hurts. I don’t think letting apathy win and watching the government go full Fash was the correct choice, but I don’t blame you, or others who decided the same. The system isn’t going to collapse, though, it’s just going to get a lot shittier for awhile.

I can completely understand where you are coming from, and your stance. “Harm reduction”, is a good way to put it, because that’s all it really feels like. It doesn’t feel good to feign support for a regime that supports such atrocities, but here I am thanks to our joke of a system.

But I’m going to vote for “genocide and some safety for my Trans and female friends” over “more genocide, gay bashing, and forced birthing”. It’s our only two choices until there is either a change in the voting system, or better yet, a revolution.

My Windows gaming PC is completely fine right now, because I don’t use crowd strike. Microsoft didn’t have anything to do with crowd strikes’ rollout or support.

I love Linux and use it as my daily driver for everything besides some online games. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize Microsoft and Windows, but crowd strike breaking stuff isn’t one of them, at least in my opinion.

If you right click a torrent and select remove, it automatically deletes the torrent files that qBT stores in the appData or home folder. If you check ‘permanently delete files’ it also deletes the media associated with the torrent file.

Most people dislike uTorrent because of the fact it was loaded with malware(cryptominer) and ads(hopefully the version you are using is before this crap). Also, download speeds are faster on qBitTorrent.

That being said, the UI is definitely a little different and I understand not wanting to learn a new workflow. You do what works best for you, friend.

You are very welcome. You aren’t the first person to have been misled by the pause versus stop name convention thing. There are tons of questions about it on the qBT forums showing many other people were concerned that there was no way to ‘stop’ torrents in qBT. I had to look into it myself when I first switched.

In qBittorrent, “Pause”, aka “stop”, stops all data transfer and tears down all peer connections associated with the torrent. You can even verify this with Wireshark. This is functionally equivalent to uTorrent’s stop button.
