I choose to, perhaps naively, think that some people might actually recognize how absurd this is, and hopefully change their opinion :)

Yeah, so just as I said - good guys banning social medias is good because they are the good guys protecting the democracy against bad people and so on, and bad guys banning social medias is bad because they are the bad guys censoring the truth from oppressed people or something.
No hypocrisy here :)
Let me guess, you think Russia/China/etc. banning websites is bad (because obviously they are doing it due to being authoriatarian regimes and to not let people learn the truth), and EU (or generally any western country) banning websites is good (because obviously it would be done to protect democracy and people from consuming dangerous misinformation)?

Start of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Now I have to worry every day that people I know (who have not managed to escape Ukraine) will either get killed by a Russian rocket or will get kidnapped from the streets by Ukrainian “recruitment officers”.
Being drafted (which is forced labour where you additionally have a high chance of being killed or wounded) is always not okay, not just when it is done to invade another country.
The existence of this post (and its title in particular) might give you a clue…

I am… not exactly sure actually.
I had to register with “draft office” before I left the country, so they definitely know about me.
Probably I’m not considered a criminal for now, as members of my family who are still in Ukraine did not receive a “draft notice” addressed to me. If they do ever receive it though, then probably I’ll be considered a criminal shortly after (because obviously I am not going to answer it).
I don’t closely follow the new laws they pass though… Maybe I am already a criminal because I didn’t update my data with the “draft office” or something 🤷♂
As a Ukrainian, I can’t even imagine ever dodging a bigger bullet than when I left Ukraine before the war started…
If I had stayed there I’d have to either constantly hide from the “draft officers” or risk my life trying to either (of course illegally) cross the border to Romania through mountains/rivers or to the occupied territorries. Or I’d just be dead already from a shell…

I don’t hate blockchain, but I can see why other people might.
Blockchain’s more or less only use is in cryptocurrencies (yes there are theoretically other usages, but let’s be honest it’s a drop in the ocean). The #1 cryptocurrency can do about 10TPS (please don’t even mention all the broken L2s), the #2 is “just about to revolutionize the world with smart contracts” for almost ten years already (so far the most revolutionary thing is monkey jpegs), then there are a few stable coins which aren’t even really a cryptocurrency at all, and thousands of literally memecoins.
Real cryptocurrency (XMR and maybe BCH) can and is used as currency (I pay for lots of legal stuff like VPN/VPSs/domains with XMR), but not many people are interested in that I guess.
