Here’s my take on it:
I can’t remember where I read it, but I’ve heard that Americans all have guns and love shooting them, so they must have brain damage.

Whenever I hear any sound from that game, I am immediately triggered in remembering the from dusk till dawn game nights me and a friend had. Hearing the birds sing was a sign we had to maybe stop and get some sleep. Biking home through the city while the sun rises after a game binge night was surreal.
The 60’s messed with us. Two things come to mind:
A large chunk of hippies who I met went fully opposite, they embraced capitalism and the opportunities presented to them due to unlocked access of education and society becoming and being less hierarchical. And then they pulled up the ladder, denying the next generation the same benefits.
Conservatives got collective heart attacks across the globe and a counter movement started to eradicate the things and goals achieved during the 60’s. This took a couple of decades but we all know you can count on with conservatives, they have long goal vision and stamina.
So, the generation who got freedoms and opportunities of the likes you will most probably never ever see in your lifetime is almost dead, they will not help out and remedy this, they are done.
And we can see in the world right now what the counter movement of conservatives has achieved, they ‘win’ at just about every turn, especially politically. This is not likely to go away, it will probably get worse.
Enjoy the results of the 60’s, hippies and conservative plans to tackle that pesky freedom and equality shit…

I do not think we will. You can philosophize about it though but a scientific answer is unlikely.
The reason I think this is that I subscribe to the theory that the universe is the result of a black hole in another parallel universe. Black hole forms, eats matter and spews it back into a newly formed parallel universe, hence all the matter being present without us being able to explain how it came about. We call it the Big Bang. Likewise, we create new parallel universes with our black holes, the cycle continues. Always found it a neat explanation for it al.
But will we know ‘why’ our universe was created? No, we would need to look beyond the veil and that means going through a black hole and I do not see that happening anytime soon.
Problem with this theory is of course that matter keeps being flung around, what it the point of origin and will that deplete or be recycled?
Fascinating stuff and this theory I talk about is most probably wrong as I also believe we are not capable of handling this query.
